At Dino Buddies, our mission is to make wildlife education accessible, unforgettable, and empowering for all. We believe every child—and every family—deserves the chance to connect with the natural world through hands-on encounters, live animal experiences, and playful learning.

Through our low-cost public programs, we aim to remove barriers and create welcoming spaces where curiosity can thrive. Whether it’s meeting a turtle face-to-face or crafting a gecko habitat, our events are designed to inspire wonder, spark lifelong learning, and foster empathy for all creatures.

We are especially passionate about teaching responsible pet ownership—equipping future reptile owners with the knowledge, confidence, and compassion needed to care for animals with respect.

By blending fun with purpose, Dino Buddies is helping raise the next generation of wildlife stewards, herp lovers, and nature protectors—one scaly friend at a time. 💚

Become a Wildlife Detective

Did you know that approximately 10,000 box turtles are trafficked every year?

Dino Buddies is partnering with Gorman Heritage Farm and ODNR's ROBOTS Initiative to help rehabilitate, monitor, and release Ohio's native box turtles back into the wild. Through this partnership, we're working to give rescued turtles a second chance while collecting valuable conservation data that helps protect wildlife across our state.

You can help.

By joining one of our Night Survey Hikes, you'll do more than explore the farm after dark—you'll become part of a real conservation effort. Participants help survey wildlife populations, search for box turtles, look for salamanders, frogs, owls, and other nocturnal creatures, and contribute to ongoing monitoring efforts at Gorman Heritage Farm.

A portion of proceeds and donations directly support turtle care, tracking equipment, habitat management, and conservation programming.
